Herah Adaar [literally 'Time' and 'Fire Thrower', a kind of ship-mounted cannon] is a seven foot female qunari vashoth from the mercenary band known as Valo-Kas ('Greatsword').
A free spirit, easy-going and open, she ends up surviving a lot of weird shit and becomes the world's only hope to stop even crazier shit from destroying it.
She has swept-back horns and green eyes full of mischievous amusement, and her skin is a dark grey-brown. Although she always ties her hair back, it reaches her to the shoulders when free and is so dark brown it's nearly black.
Despite her tall size, she's very agile and dexterous, well-muscled but not bulky. Clever, quick fingers and swift movements makes her an excellent rogue, and carries a multitude of hidden knives other than the larger dual daggers she fights with.
She's unromanced, mostly because she hates being tied down and has some commitment issues. It doesn't mean she hasn't flirted with literally everyone, however, and has shared her bed with half of Skyhold. Few can keep up with a hot-blooded qunari woman.
She allied with the mages since she didn't like that ass Alexius, blackmailed Empress Celene just because she could, left either Loghain or Hawke in the Fade, pushed Morrigan head-first into the Well and made Leliana the Divine just for the hell of it. Shaking up the world was a good wake-up call, after all.
As a fellow mercenary and a vashoth, she saved the Chargers and essentially said fuck the Qun. She made Cole more human, helped all her companions but left Blackwall in the dungeons - because nobody fucking lies to her that badly, no matter the circumstances. (Especially since she liked him a lot.)
She's usually played from the end of Inquisition, before Trespasser.
